The event will take place on Monday, 19th March, in the Cider Museum.
LA SIDRA.- The Good Cider Advocates Guild will hold its traditional Axuntabense de la Sidra for the fifth year in a row. The event marks the start of the “espichas” (fraternal meals) in the cider calendar coinciding with the festivity of St. Joseph.
The base of the act is the bottling and corking of the bottles obtained from the barrel filled up during the Cider Festival in Nava the previous year, which are later auctioned on the Internet. The bottles show on its front the label designed for the ocassion, which make them unique.
The ceremony will take place on 19th March at 17.30 in the Cider Museum, where Merit Cider Advocates will be appointed: Castañon Cidermill, the Apple Friends Club from Siero, Juanjo Arrojo and journalists from La Comarca de la Sidra and singer Vicente Diaz.
The Guild was founded in 2013 with the aim of shaping the different activities to promote all the natural cider varieties, apple an by-products.
