The Suffolk-based cidermill has been owned by the Chevallier family for almost 300 years.
LA SIDRA.- Founded in 1728 by Clement Chevallier and run by the eighth generation of his family, Aspall is a premium cider brand in Britain located in Suffolk, where the family first planted the orchads at Aspall Hall.
Now Molson Coors Brewing Company, the American giant, has acquired it with the aim of growing the status of English cider in the UK and abroad, both as a beverage and as an excellent partner for food.
Coors will also acquire Aspall’s organic cider vinegar range, made by using a fermentation process they claim is unique in the world.
Members of the Chevallier family will remain part of the business and will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of Aspall, a company considered a cornerstone of the surrounding community.
