The Asturian public television premiered last Sunday a new program dedicated to the cider culture. Mundu Sideru, presented by the journalist Inaciu Galán, is broadcast on Sundays at 9:30 p.m. and with the collaboration of the PDO Sidra de Asturies.
LA SIDRA.- In this second chapter of Mundu Sidreru, the main interviewee will be Marcos Abel Fernández, director of LA SIDRA magazine, which turns fifteen years old in 2018. In addition, the program runs through Viuda de Angelón Cider Mill and its sparkling cider, where we will meet more in depth the frothy Asturies cider and its production process.
The cider bar visited on this occasion is the La Cuadra de Antón from Xixón, where Noelia del Prado, her manager and cook, will show us her ecological cider project, posing a challenge to the presenter of the program.
The program includes a recipe made with Sidra de Asturies by chef Lluis Nel Estrada, which this case will consist of two versions of chorizo in cider. This chapter also brings us closer to the Travesera of the Picos d’Europa and to know more about the participants in the Cidery Contest.
