The sessions will be held on 4th November and 6th December in the Feleches Schools.
LA SIDRA.- The Apple Friends Club from Siero (C.S.A.M) will hold two sessions on cider and by-products before the end of year.
The first one will take place this Saturday, 4th November, from 10.00 a.m. It will review the most important aspects of the course on the home-made cidermaking taught by Jose Antonio Norniella in March, and it will end up with an experiences exchange among the participants.
Later on, there will be a workshop on “pasteurized” sweet cider making and tasting, a class on conditioning a home-made ciderpress and the problem of rat-moles. The session will end up with a final conference, followed by a fraternal meal and sampling.
On Saturday, 16th December a second session will start at 10.00 a.m. It will begin with a workshop on ice cidermaking, followed by another one on cider brandy making. Topics related to sparkling ciders, sweet cider liqueur and apple by-products like compotes and jams will be discussed.
Eventually, there will be a conference, fraternal meal and liqueurs and by-products tasting.
These sessions will be free of charge for C.S.A.M. members and will cost for non-members.
