The VIII International Hall of Gala Ciderswill take place from 28th to 30th of September and will have interesting novelties.
LA SIDRA.-When less than two months fro the celebration of the VIII IHGC/SISGA it is already possible to confirm the existence of multiple novelties that will make this edition one of the most outstanding.
First, it confirms a very important participation of the best international cider mills, highlighting a significant presence of producers from the USA, as well as importers from the same country interested in knowing the products that will be presented in this eighth edition of the SISGA.
Likewise, it is also expected to have institutional representation from other cider cities, also highlighting the presence of international bloggers and the adaptation of a specific office aimed at facilitating and transmitting information in real time.
The International Jury, in which a representative of each participating cider mill will be present, will meet on the morning of Friday, September 28 at the Llagar Castañón, and will judge the prestigious SISGA Awards.
The Gala Dinner, where the SISGA Awards will take place, will be held on Friday, September 28 at the BellaVista Restaurant in Xixón, where people will have the opportunity to harmonize the original gastronomic proposals of your chef with a very important variety of international ciders that will surprise as usual to the most accustomed lovers of cider and good food.
As for the Open Tasting Day, which will be held on Saturday, September 29, at the Colexata San Xuan Bautista, uninterrupted from 12 a.m. to 9 a.m., not only will it keep a symbolic price -6 € – but it will double its extension to accommodate to the new exhibitors, it will have a specific space for guided tastings and it is foreseen to have some surprise that will be confirmed later on.
The Confraternity Espicha (popular Asturian cider meal), will take place that same night of September 29 in Xixón in a venue yet to be determined, and all participants in this VIII SISGA will enjoy it.
On the other hand, the Sommeliers’ Day, will be held at the Restaurant El Duque in the morning and for participation in it will be essential prior accreditation given the specificity of the event.
To make all this a reality, volunteer work will be important, announcing the upcoming opening of the Volunteer Registry, which will collaborate in the good result of this VIII SISGA, and which, of course, will be the subject of special attention by the organization.
We must remember that the International Hall of Gala Ciders is organized by the Asturies XXI Foundation and has the support of Divertia, the Regional Ministry of Rural Development and the Caja Rural of Xixón.
