María del Pilar Coque Suárez is an apple harvester under the Cider of Asturies PDO that has its half-hectare apple orchard in the river plain in Obanca, Cangas district.
LA SIDRA.- At 56 years old, she works alone on that farm and on other farms of different crops, including table apples. Hard work, but enjoyable and appreciative, that keeps her in shape better than any gym.
Pilar sends two messages: to young people who are associated to work in agriculture and to the cidermakers, to pay better for the apple.
