It is run by a young married couple with family roots dedicated to the Asturian cuisine for three generations.
LA SIDRA.- The Asturian restaurant El Norte cider bar was born on 11th April, 2014 in the Majorcan town of Manacor with the aim to bring Asturian cuisine to the Balearic island.
In a homely, cozy and relaxed atmosphere you can taste good quality dishes like cheese and cold meat platters, chosco (meat stuffed into thick gut), mincemeat, chorizo in cider sauce, seafood platters or their delicious veal with the PGI seal (Protected Geographical Indication) from Asturias.
Even their fabada (broad bean stew) has been ranked fifth in the contest semi-final The Best Fabada in the World 2018.
They also make 13 different types of cachopos, from the traditional one (two breaded steaks stuffed with ham and cheese) to the one made with mozzarella, Cabrales DOP cheese, loin and fried egg, perfect to be paired with some bottles of Trabanco cider.
