THE CIDER.- Blimea celebrates from December 6 to 9 the popular Gastronomic Festivities of Stuffed Peppers, declared of Regional Tourist Interest. A total of seven restaurants in the town and surroundings will support these gastronomic days, with more than forty years of tradition, enlivened by a program of festive activities throughout the weekend, organized by the society of celebrations Our Lady of the Snows, with City Council collaboration.
True to a culinary celebration that stands out in the gastronomic calendar of traditional Asturian cuisine, the local hospitality will serve these days a menu consisting of roasted or baked peppers, stuffed with meat or tuna, and accompanied by a ration of tripes, second course , and Asturian crepes for dessert; all washed down with cider. The restaurants of Blimea and surroundings will offer the menu both at lunch and dinner, at a price that varies according to the establishment, but that moves around 23 euros per person. Likewise, the option of ordering the stuffed pepper dish for those who prefer it as an alternative to the full menu is offered. The gastronomic days of the Stuffed Peppers will be animated throughout the festive bridge by a cultural and party program that includes the delivery of the Golden Pepper award to “Sofía la carnicera”, on Friday, at 19 hours, in the social center of Blimea, in recognition of a long professional career played from a young age in the town, in an act that will be enlivened by the San Martín Music Band.
