LA SIDRA Magazine and Fundación Asturias XXI will give two conferences, in Hiroshima and Tokyo respectively
A delegation from LA SIDRA Magazine and Fundación Asturies XXI will travel to Japan to participate in the Tokyo Cider Collection 2023, one of the largest international cider fairs, which will celebrate its eighth edition at the end of July.
The objectives are multiple, on the one hand to collect the activities of the fair and the current cider industry in the country, and on the other, starring in two conferences within the event program in which the XIII International Hall of Gala Ciders (SISGA) will be presented, the Asturian cider and the Asturian cider culture.
Thus, Anzu Fernández -international delegate of the Asturies XXI Foundation- will give two conferences within the training cycle of this event. The first of these will take place on July 24th in Hiroshima as part of the cider seminar for hospitality professionals organized by the Kimura cider mill. The second conference will take place at the Tokyo Big Shigt skyscraper, with the support of the Fukiware Cidrerie and the Tokyo cider bar Sidrería Eclipse First.
The conferences will deal with the history of Asturian cider, the peculiarities of our cider culture, the current situation in the cider sector and will also include a cider pouring masterclass. All this will bring our country closer to the professional and private public of the Japanese capital and will also serve to develop future relationships with producers from Asturies.
Asturian relations have been strengthening for years thanks to the celebration of the International Hall of Gala Ciders -SISGA- which this year will celebrate its 13th edition on the last weekend of September in Xixón, probably with the presence of Japanese producers.
Thanks to the internationalization work carried out by SISGA, representatives of the organization have been invited to participate in this similar event in Tokyo, a benchmark throughout Asia and the largest in Japan, which brings together the best producers from the country of rising Sun.
