The Asturian Cider Association points out that “just as establishments are required to strictly comply with the rules, consumers must also follow them in the most rigorous way”
LA SIDRA.- The Asturian Cider Association, ASSA, has published the following statement: “As we have all been able to read in the media and social networks, these days some marches are called in Asturies that seek to convey concern about the current situation that, due to the crisis caused by Covid-19, the hospitality industry is experiencing as well as the economic and industrial activity that is also behind it.
From ASSA we want to show our full support for this sector – a great source of income for the economy, not only in our region but also in the rest of the country – which has been hit so hard and behind which are thousands of families, projects and personal stories that go through their worst moments.
The hotel industry is part of our history and culture, more especially, if possible, of Asturians who, due to our outgoing character, have important socialization habits. Who has not experienced one of the best moments of their life in a bar or restaurant?
But we are also clear that to continue doing so we must appeal to personal and collective responsibility in this difficult stage that we are having to live. Just as hospitality establishments are required to strictly comply with the rules, consumers must also follow them in the most rigorous way, protecting ourselves in order to protect. For this reason, it is important to heed the advice of health authorities and increase the frequency of hand washing, not touching our face, using masks correctly, maintaining interpersonal distance, etc. To stop this, we are all necessary!
