The winner of the Official Cider Pouring Championship of Asturies will manage a workshop beginning on 5th April.
LA SIDRA.- Salvador Ondó Bibang got the Official Cider Pouring Championship of Asturies on last 24th of November. Now he will teach in a workshop-class taking from 5th April to 15th May. In total it will be 196 hours with several topics related to our national beverage. For instance there will be classes about the care of cider, treatment and storage, the different varieties, its organoleptic properties and of course hot to pour cider even for a championship.
This workshop has the collaboration of El otru Mallu -cider mill where Ondó works- and the Port Authority of Xixón. The cost is 10 €, for free for beneficiaries of Expoacción and unemployed people. People can get more information by calling 984 055 046.
During the last years there was a growing vindication for the professional recognition of the cider pourer’s figure. Different entities and organisms highlight the need to value this job that is one of the main differential aspects about cider as product and also as touristic value.
