Nava’s Cider Museum held yesterday the first cider apple tasting organized by th Good Confraternity of the Sicerators of Asturies.
THE CIDER.- Enrique Dapena, coordinator of Fruticulture of Serida haded the tasting with races of apple under the DOP “used usually and proably people related with Asturian apple could recognize and taste them”.
About twenty participants tasted and scored the features of apple like acidity, sourness, sweetness, taste, cream, scent… A very didactic and participative experience much appreciated by the attendees and with which is given a response to the growing demand of information about Asturian cider culture and the need of putting together the knowledge porper of cider sommeliers.
After the tasting, among who there were cider makers, producers, oenologists and agronomists, participated in a very interesting debate about the cider sector.
