The Cider Bars from Gascona Association from Uviéu has joined the celebratons for some activities for all the publics and all ages.
THE CIDER.- For kids there is a tent near the cask, the icon of the cider boulevard, with creeative workshops about image and design from 13 to 14h and also scientific workshops and art too. This activity is managed by the project “Mostruu Curiosu” by the Uviéu University and supported by the Spanish Foundation of Science and Technology.
Likewise the association has prepared three gigs. On Friday 16th “Los Cómodos” and their rock tunes, on Modnay 19th “La Movidá” will play classics from the 80’s and 90’s and “Los Buscavidas” on Friday 23rd will sign some known pop tunes.
The popular “Race through Gascona in Madreñes” (wooden clogs) will be held on Sunday 18th and there will be 30 runners in each category: feminine, masculine and mixt for children. The route is awarded in cash, trophies and sports material, is from Foncalada to Xovellanos and can be browsed in www.sidreriasgascona.com
As usually the Association of Cider bars of Gascona adds some activities to the popular celebrations of the city maintaining the leadership regarding restaurant services in Asturies and linked with Asturian emblematic beverage, cider and the best gastronomy.
