It will take place at Casa de La Palmera and there was Jorge González-Palacios, manager of Divertia Xixón, Teresa Sánchez, director of Xovellanos Theater; and José Ramón Taranco, from Llaboral Kutxa.
THE CIDER.- This event is scheduled for the 20th to 28th of August. During the celebration in the city there will be a true homage to our most proper beverage.
The cider mills participating are: Panizales, Orizón, Trabanco, M. Vigón, Menéndez, Buznego, Camín, Samartín de Güerces, Castañón, Llagar de Castiellu, JR L’Altu L’Infanzón, Frutos, Piñera, El Gobernador, Cabueñes, Canal, Los Gemelos, Vallina, Acebal, L’Allume, Llagar de Castiello Bernueces, Arbesú, Peñón and La Llarada.
There will also be some activities such as a cider pouring workshop on Wednesday 24th in Campu Valdés. It will be performed by Loreto García, ASturies 2009 Champion. There will be also Enrique Tuya, coordinator of the Official Cider Pourers Championship-
Music will be present too, Taranus will perform at the Main Square at ten of the night. This is a pioneer folk metal band and have won on 2013 the prize for the Best Song.
Apart of that there will be visits to the most emblematic cider mills of Xixón and the Association of the Cider District will organize a party from Thursday 25th to Sunday 28th at Parque del Tren de la Llibertá (where the RENFE used to be)
