Doubtlessly the Norman cider mill Ecusson was a winner one at the SISGA’15, with two first places and this second one we highlight: Ecusson Rose.
THE CIDER.- However it was the Asturian Mayador Rosé the winner cider in the category of Rose Sparkling Cider, Ecusson Rose reached a honorable second place with this cider made from apples of the variety Rouge Delice, the one that gives it its characteristic pink colour.
Its scent is an intense fruit along other wild red berries, like graspberries and mulberries. In mouth is remarkable the taste of matured and sweet cider with a back taste predominantly sweet and even of very long lasting caramel, which allows it to be enjoyed in short gulps well paired with some snacks.
This is a very suitable cider for the gastronomic pairing, to which it is not easy to pair with just one complement. It’s perfect with fish, also with meat, especially pork, and pairs well with grasy cheeses not so strong.
