O’daly, first cider produced and sold in La Palma

The Agricultural and Craft Open Market in Barlovento promotes the selling of local products from the Canary Islands.

LA SIDRA.- The Open Market in Barlovento takes place in the Plaza del Rosario, La Palma and reminds of the traditional zocos, where not only they bought and sold products, but also became the centre of social life.

On Sunday, February 11th. the local apple will take the leading role, a very popular product which offers a broad range of possibilities, like cidermaking, the first produced and sold in La Palma by Tendal Winery.
The market will be attended by the Asturian Cultural Centre in La Palma, which will explain the product making process as well as the traditional cider pouring.

They will also present a sample of different types of apple, cakes and the making of chorizo in cider sauce.
