Medio Rural announces grants worth 42,000 euros to advise agricultural holdings on pest control.
LA SIDRA.- The Ministry of Rural Affairs and Territorial Cohesion has summoned aids worth 42,000 euros to advise agricultural holdings on pest control. This item is addressed to the Groups for Integrated Treatments in Agriculture (Atrias), made up of small and medium-sized farms dedicated to the primary production of agricultural products, which will be in charge of providing the service.
“These subsidies allow to act on essential factors to obtain quality food by eliminating pests. Also to improve the environmental and working conditions in rural areas” have pointed out from the council. The maximum amount of aid to be received by each entity that provides advisory services in order for farms to apply integrated pest management programs is 6,000 euros.
Currently, more than 80 farms have technical advice on the production of small fruits, faba, apple cider and grape.
