One of the activities which attracted most attention in the latest edition of the First Cider of the Year were the barrel-making works performed by Argüelles S.L. that in these days repaired an old barrel and build a new one in front of all attendees.
The barrel-making, profession and art which seemed to be about to be lost because of the stainless steel fiber barrels, not only continues active but also nowadays is claimed in the world of the cider, being the cidermakers conscious that the matter is not just to produce huge amounts of cider but the necessity to produce each time in a better quality, and for it there is nothing like wood.
